Attack Continues
Guildas sees the attack and conjures up arcane fire and rains it down on the construct and the controller. The controller’s robes begin to smoulder. The controller notices Gildas’ movement and swipes at him with a clawed hand and misses but does manage to spray Roon with acid. The acid chews through Roon’s armor and his face wells up with boils as the burn goes deep, however Roon manages to wince through the pain and does not falter. He truly cheats death.
Mikani calls on her deity and the elements around her and lightning lights up the sky, she casts a side spell while maintaining her lock on the electrical elements to heal Roon. Some of Roon’s welts begin to heal instantly.
I take a step back and pull out a small glass fragment and feel the magic surge about my body as a cloud of tiny daggers materialize around the controller. The controller begins to receive a thousand tiny cuts from the blades as they whirl about him.
Brigit steps out of the shadow and fires her bow, but misses. I see her disappear as quickly as she appeared to fire the arrow.
Out of the corner of my eye I see Corvinas step and throw a mighty javelin. His hand guided by my simple minstrel song about an ode to Amadi’s mighty blow. Two javelins mark true and thrust into the controller. The controller succumbs to his wounds and Roon and the Elemental scramble for the dropped orb that the controller once held. The Elemental gets it first!
The elemental transforms instantly into a Dao and the orb disappears. Roon recovers and attacks the Dao, hitting him once with his blade.
The Dao now turns its attention to Corvinas. A marl is summoned which attacks Corvinas and Roon. Roon is able to parry the blow but both Corvinas and Roon are knocked to their feet. The Dao also waves his arms to summon earthen power around myself and Brigit, however we are both able to jump out of the effect zone of this sudden power surge. Mikani wasn’t as lucky and takes damage from the thunderous noise of the earthen surge.
Gildas pulls out a pork rind and materializes a slick of grease under the Dao. The Dao manages to keep its footing.
Mikani, holding onto the electrical natural energy, directs it towards the Dao. Lightning strikes the Dao multiple times. She also manages to cast healing on Roon
I move the cloud of dagger onto the space the Dao occupies and the Dao begins to be cut by the tiny daggers. I also chant the ancient words of healing as i feel the power of healing flow out and strike Roon, further repairing Roon’s acid burned flesh.
Brigit once again appears as from mist fires her bow which strikes true on the Dao and then she vanishes from sight
Corvinas stands up and attempts to strike at the Dao but misses both swings of his mighty weapon. He reads from ancient holy script written on his armor and an aura of holy magic appears to surround him suddenly.
Roon also stands and takes advantage of the fact that he is flanking the Dao. He connects with on of this mighty blowqa
The Dao attacks those around him, but through the cloud of daggers cannot see his foe properly and misses all three attacks. Roon repostes one of the attacks and connects again against the Dao. The Dao conjures the same earthen wave on the ground. Both Brigit and I jump away again. Mikani manages to be missed, but takes damage from the noise.
Gildas speaks the language of the fire plane and moves his hands in a hypnotic pattern Three rays of heated plasma burst from his palms. They hit the Dao hard.
Mikani directs yet more lightning on the head of the Dao. which strike him and he explodes as he falls.
The party collects itself and gathers the remnants of the orb. We talk to the general – Chris but gain little more information.
We go back to the inn to sleep off the day

We Begin our Journey North
We awake the next day and meet with the caravan at the northern gate. It is a rag-tag bunch of wagons, carts and beasts of burden. The leader’s name is Richard and he seems to be a ranger, by the looks of his green clothing and bushy beard.I decide to play the bawdy music of the tale of Ranger Rick and his mighty….well, just think of something that can rhyme with Rick. The party discusses archeology with some of the members of the caravan and dig site at the Northern mountains as we set off. They have provided us our own carriage for the voyage and one particular member of the party – Teddy – gets excited that we are part of the group.
